Your tracker & your data

You can use the public BMI calculator without signing in. A free verified account is required for your personal tracker and free ebook. You can confirm your email or sign in with Google. No paid purchase or marketing subscription is required.

Your account

We use your name and verified email to identify your account and provide access. Email confirmation links expire after 20 minutes and work once. Unconfirmed email requests are removed after expiry when the next email request is processed.

Your account name, email, signup source and email-marketing preference are available in Svelta Labs’ private tracker administration. This record contains no weight, BMI, medication or goal entries.

Verified shop access

The Svelta shop requires the same free account verified by Google sign-in or email confirmation. An essential, secure shop-access cookie lets the shop recognise this verification while your tracker session stays separate. The server stores a hashed access token linked to your account for up to one hour; it contains no health entries. Access expires after one hour and is revoked when you sign out, switch account, delete the account, or return to the tracker after its one-hour inactivity timeout. Expired token records are removed when the next access grant is issued. This does not subscribe you to marketing or change your measurement choices. The BMI calculator remains usable without an account.

Your free ebook order

The private £0 ebook checkout records your name, verified email, book title, order time and completion so we can provide your download and support. It contains no health entries and does not start a subscription or change your marketing or measurement choices. Downloads require your current verified account. Deleting your tracker account removes download access but does not automatically delete the separate order record. Contact us for access to or deletion of your order details.

Your health entries

Entries stay in this browser session until you choose to save them. “Remember entries on this device” stores a browser copy; avoid it on shared devices. Browser copies are kept separately for each tracker account. Signing out clears the current account’s browser copy.

“Save to my account” asks for your agreement before sending health entries over HTTPS to Svelta Labs, where they are encrypted. Saving is not automatic: save again after changes. Google provides sign-in; the tracker does not send your health entries to Google.

Email offers are optional

The optional, unchecked subscription box covers Svelta Labs news and offers. You can switch this off at any time in My space → Your email preferences. Opting out does not change access to your tracker. We do not use your weight, BMI, medication or goals to select marketing messages.

Optional signup measurement

Your tracker works fully without advertising measurement. The separate, unchecked signup choice allows Svelta Labs to measure a newly verified account using Google Ads. It does not subscribe you to email offers or give permission to store health entries.

When you allow it, a short completion page sends Google a signup event and normal advertising request data, which can include ad-click identifiers, cookies, IP address and browser/device information. The event has no monetary value. This page contains no name, email, account identifier, confirmation token or health entries. The tracker dashboard, scanner and journal do not load this advertising tag.

Personalised advertising, remarketing and enhanced conversions are disabled for this measurement. We do not send your weight, BMI, medication, goals, journal entries, name, email or Google sign-in identifier with the event. Read how Google uses information and Google’s advertising cookie details.

The choice and any consented ad-click context stay in your current tracker session for up to one hour of inactivity. A local consent and single-use event record is kept for up to 90 days and removed when the next new signup is processed, or when the account is deleted. Google’s advertising storage has its own retention described in its cookie details. A blocked request or a confirmation on another browser may not be measured.

You can withdraw for this browser below without changing your tracker access or email preference. This clears accessible Google measurement cookies and stops any pending signup event in this session; it cannot undo data already sent to Google. Browser settings can also remove cookies held by Google on its own domains.

Optional Google Analytics

With your separate permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits to the public tracker landing page, engagement, signup steps and errors, and newly verified account signups. We use this to improve the signup experience and assess our landing page. Selecting “No thanks” has no effect on your free account, Google sign-in, email offers or optional advertising measurement.

Analytics starts only after you select “Allow analytics”. It receives the fixed public tracker page address and title, a signup method (email or Google), and limited event or error codes. We do not send form values, your name, email, account ID, sign-in credential, confirmation token, ad-click identifiers or health entries. The private dashboard, body scanner and journal do not load Google Analytics. A brief, separate completion page can record a newly verified signup if you allowed analytics in that browser.

Google receives normal connection data including your IP address and browser information, and uses analytics cookies to distinguish visits and sessions. These are prefixed “svt_ga”, limited to /tracker/, and expire after 60 days without being extended on each visit. We remember your allow/decline preference on this device for 180 days. Detailed event and user data retention in this property is set to two months; aggregate reports may be retained longer. Google Signals, user-provided data, enhanced form measurement, granular location/device collection and advertising personalization are disabled. This Analytics property is not linked to Google Ads.

You can turn analytics off below or use “Analytics choices” on the landing page. This clears the accessible Svelta Analytics cookies in this browser and stops further collection. It does not remove information already sent to Google. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites.

Access and deletion

You can export your entries, clear browser records or delete your tracker account from My space. Account deletion removes the active account, its saved health entries and its tracker signup enquiry. Older copies may remain in backups until those expire. Contact us for the current backup retention period or for help with your data.

The host may retain ordinary access and security logs. Authentication rate limits use hashed identifiers and are cleared after 48 hours when email requests are processed. Advertising measurement is limited to the optional signup completion described above.
